KidCheck at TES

KidCheck is a program sponsored by Sight Savers of America which provides FREE health screenings for our students.  This event will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, in the Thomasville Elementary School gym.  We are partnering with Alabama Southern Community College Nursing Program, local businesses, healthcare providers, community leaders and volunteers to make this a success.

Students much have parental permission to participate.  These permission forms were sent home January 25, 2012.  Please complete the form and return it to the school by Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

We will set up stations in the gym to monitor height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, heart and lung sounds, eye/ear/nose/throat, dental status and vision.  A parental report with results of the screening will be sent home with each student.  Insurance needs will also assessed.

Please support us in our efforts.  If you have any questions, please contact your school nurse.

Mrs. Amos's 3rd graders have been studying the human body. A parent, Diane Thrower, baked a meringue skeleton. The students loved labeling and eating the skeleton bones.
