Mr. Michael R. Bedsole
TES Principal
 | Michael R. Bedsole graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Elementary
Education and Administration from The University of West Alabama (Livingston
University). He is certified in Elementary Education, Music and Administration.

 | Mr. Bedsole began his teaching career in Mobile County where he taught
third, fourth and fifth grades and Chapter I, Federal Program. He began
teaching in Clarke County in 1987, at Gillmore Elementary School where he
taught 3rd and 4th grade self -contained classes until he became the itinerate
elementary music teacher for Clarke County's three elementary schools, Jackson
Intermediate, and Jackson Middle School. Mr. Bedsole was Assistant Principal at
Sweet Water High School in Marengo County for four years before returning to
Clarke County as Principal of Jackson Intermediate School in 2006. |
 | In addition to his teaching career, Mr. Bedsole is an ordained minister. He
has served as Minister of Music and Activities at First Baptist Church in
Fulton, Alabama, since 1987. |
 | He is married to Tammy Jackson Bedsole of Thomasville, Alabama. They have
two sons, Ward, a junior Presidential Scholar and member of the Blount Honors
Program at The University of Alabama, and Walt, who is a freshman at the
University of Mobile and a member of the University of Mobile’s Ram Baseball
Team. The Bedsoles have lived in Thomasville since 1992. |
