TES

WOW, do we have a lot going on! The McWane Center prototype will be delivered for judging next week. 4th Grade parents – keep an eye out for a permission slip to come home – the Awards Ceremony is in Birmingham on May 6. Also, students are spending gifted class time working on individual and group end-of-year projects. Remember, students may bring something to work on from home, but the work is to be done AT SCHOOL. TMS

We are in the thick of many varied projects right now in TMS TAG. Parents – please remember to ask your children about meetings or work days, as some of the projects (7th grade in particular) are going to require Saturday or after-school participation from you and your child.

Parent and community night for all TAG classes is Thursday, May 20th. Parents – TAG is about commitment, and this night is mandatory. The students have worked, and will continue to work, very hard. This is a night for them to show you all of the things they have accomplished! Please, arrange your schedule so that you and your child will be able to come. Also, tell family and friends – we want everyone to know what we’ve been up to in TAG this year!

THS

You are a hard group to grab, you are! The Facebook group and website have had minimal response. So, I will continue to call you as a group every other month, while offering opportunities like field trips and college visits as well. Finally, don’t forget the office hours – my desk is in the TMS computer lab, and I am there to see you!

Parents and students – if you ever have questions, please feel free to call me at 636-9955, x.3010. Or, email at mwhitley@thomasvilleschools.org.

 Happy Spring!
