One is for students to develop a standard of judgement whereby they can recognize and respect good theater.  The other aim is the active participation in the drama process and competition schedule, unless otherwise discussed with the teacher.

Speech – The goal of this class is to provide students with specific skills necessary in preparing speeches for a variety of purposes and a variety of speaking situations.  The interrelated elements of communication process are used as listening and critical thinking tools in improving speaking skills not only for everyday purposes but also for future career possibilities.  Opportunities to compete in debate and speech competitions will be offered and students are encouraged to participate.
