Beginning with 1996-1997 ninth grade, each student must pass Algebra I and Geometry.  The sequence of higher math courses is as follows:  Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Advanced Math or Statistics.

There are several course sequences in which a student can earn four credits in mathematics for graduation.  Some of these pathways are indicated below.

Standard Diploma

  • Ninth:             Algebra IA/IB                
  • Tenth:            Geometry A/B               
  • Eleventh:        Algebra II                      
  • Twelfth:          Mathematics in Society 

 

  • Ninth:             Intro to Algebra
  • Tenth:            Algebra I
  • Eleventh:       Geometry
  • Twelfth:         Algebra II with Trigonometry

 

  • Ninth:            Algebra I
  • Tenth:           Geometry
  • Eleventh:       Algebra II with Trigonometry
  • Twelfth:         Mathematics in Society

 

  • Ninth:            Intro to Algebra
  • Tenth:           Algebra IA/IB
  • Eleventh:      Geometry A/B
  • Twelfth:        Mathematics in Society

 

  • Ninth:           Algebra I
  • Tenth:          Geometry A/B
  • Eleventh:      Algebra II
  • Twelfth:        Mathematics in Society
