THOMASVILLE HIGH SCHOOL An Affiliate of the National Beta Club
The National Beta Club is a non-secret, service-leadership club for high school students. It was instituted and is operated to reward merit, encourage effort and promote high ideals among high school students: the purpose and operational provisions being set forth in the original Constitution of the organization. Membership is based on honorable character, good mentality, creditable achievement, and commendable attitude.
To become a member of the Thomasville High School Beta Club a student must meet the following requirements:
The members of the Thomasville High School Beta Club have participated in numerous service projects during recent years. Included in these are:
Sponsors: Kelli Scruggs, Rita Nichols Beta Club members are selected and inducted into the Beta Club based on impressive scholastic achievement. Members must maintain an 87 average in their scholastic academic courses. In addition to maintaining their grades, they must participate in various service projects during the year. Beta members serve as bell ringers for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season and sponsor a family through the Salvation Army's angel tree program. At school the Beta club serves THS by sponsoring the annual Homecoming festivities and the annual Senior/Faculty softball game. Beta members are offered the opportunity to attend the Beta Club Convention in Birmingham each year where they can learn from other Beta Club organizations and members from throughout the state.
