Drama
Club Member Purpose:
To support and encourage the development of drama and vocal programs at Thomasville High School.
Club Member Requirements:
1. Each club member must have an interest in the arts and must be self-motivated.
2. No club member may have a suspension on his or her school record. if suspended, letter of appeal can be written to ask for membership in the club.
3. When school absence due to a club function occurs, all make up work must be done in a timely matter and the student must have a passing grade. If a club member does not pass a make-up exam and the teacher feels that it is because of missing the regular exam, that member will not be allowed to participate in the next club function.
4. Each club member must pay dues of $5.00. This money is used to pay dues to debate and drama organizations and to purchase play materials.
5. Each club member must participate in club fundraising. He or she may receive permission from the club sponsor not to participate in the fundraiser for appropriate reasons.
6. All school rules must be obeyed at all times. If school rules are broken, that member will be put on club probation or will be suspended depending on the severity of the offense.
7. After school and evening practices are necessary to prepare for school plays and competitions. Students will be expected to attend if they are participating in either a play or competition.
Club Projects:
1. To support the Thomasville High School Drama Team, Appaggio, and The Thomasville High School Thespian Society.
2. To sponsor school plays.
3. To enrich and enlighten the student body by demonstrating debate and drama projects.
