Hello! My name is Kate Huggins and I teach 6th Grade Social Studies at TMS. After graduating from THS in 1987, I attended the University of Alabama – Roll Tide! There I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. The following year, I earned my Master’s Degree from The University of West Alabama.

After teaching in Atlanta for several years, I decided that home was the place for me! I returned in Thomasville in 1996 and began teaching at TMS in August. What a GREAT decision that was!
 

I serve on the TMS Leadership Team, 1:1 Instructional Support Committee Chairman, the TCS Technology Team, and am the Web Designer for Thomasville City Schools. I have earned my National Board Certification and I am certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist in Word, Excel, and Power Point. I am also IC3 Certified and a Certified SmartBoard Trainer. This year begins my 21st  year of teaching. Wow, where does the time go?
 

I am married to Robby Huggins and we have a 13 year old son, Hamilton! During any free time, I enjoy being with my family, reading, and especially cooking.
