A student at Thomasville High School has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The student and school officials did not receive the results until Oct. 7. The student has not been at school since 9 a.m. on Oct. 1 when one minor symptom began.
All close contacts have been identified, and approximately four THS students were sent home to quarantine for 14 days.
School officials have reported the positive case to the Alabama Department of Public Health.
