The THS Lady Tigers basketball team participated Nov. 8 in the Blackbelt Tip-Off Classic at R.C. Hatch High School in Uniontown.

THS defeated the Selma High Lady Saints 39-29.

In addition, the Lady Tigers lost to the Greenville High Lady Tigers 45-36.

In the game with Selma, Imani Brothers had 12 points. Zakiyah Pritchett had 9 points, Kendra Kidd had 8 points, Lyric Thompson had 5 points, and Kirstin Marshall and Angel Johnson added 2 points each.

Johnson had 8 rebounds, Pritchett had 5 rebounds, Thompson had 3 rebounds, and Kidd, Hailey McCall, Marshall each contributed 1 rebound each.

In the game with Greenville, Pritchett had 10 points and 7 rebounds. Thompson had 8 points and 1 rebounds, Marshall had 8 points and 2 rebounds, and Brothers had 5 points.

Kidd had 3 points, and Johnson had 2 points and 3 rebounds. McCall contributed 2 rebounds, and Bre Ruffin had 1 rebound.

• The Lady Tigers won 75-1 Nov. 14 at Excel High School.

Brothers had 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 steals; Thompson had 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals; and Angel Johnson had 8 points and 7 rebounds.

Marshall had 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals; Pritchett had 6 points, 1 rebound, and 3 steals; and Kidd had 5 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

Bre Ruffin had 5 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals; Taylor Johnson had 4 points; and Aaliyana Taite, Hailey McCall, Kayla Callen, and Kaydence Champion all had 2 points each.

The THS Junior Varsity boys, varsity girls and boys teams will host A.L. Johnson on Nov. 19, and the teams will travel Nov. 20 to Demopolis.

All three teams will host McIntosh on Nov. 24 with the JV game beginning at noon. The teams will travel Nov. 26 to Thomaston to play A.L. Johnson.
