The Wellness Committee of the Thomasville City Schools District will hold a meeting at 9 a.m. on May 14 in Thomasville High School's conference room. The purpose of the meeting is to assess and review the wellness policy for physical activity and nutrition. Parents, students and members of the Thomasville community are encouraged to attend. National School Lunch Hero Day 2026 is Friday, May 1, 2026. Celebrated annually on the first Friday in May, this day honors school nutrition professionals for their dedication to nourishing students, supporting learning, and ensuring healthy meals, often celebrated with special, personalized school-wide recognition.
