
Students from Thomasville Elementary School and Thomasville Middle School attended the 4H camp June 30-July 2 in Columbiana. The students included Abigail Collinsworth, Hailey Norwood, Reign Bennett, Avery Collinsworth, Tensely Stauffacher, Jordyn Holden, Sebastian Covel, Abel Horton, Gauge Patrick, Lanie Smith, and Tripp Smith.


Summer workouts for seventh and eighth graders, interested in playing football, start Monday, July 7 at 9 a.m.

McKinley Sims, a rising sixth grade student at Thomasville Middle School, performed June 28 at the Flying Bricks Community Band Independence Day concert in the Thomasville Civic Center. She performed two songs from "Matilda, The Musical," which will be presented July 25-28, also in the Civic Center. Tickets for "Matilda" are now on sale.

TMS Cheer Camp: D'Arielle Holt won "Little Miss Sunshine," and Hailey Goodman won the "Get Back Up Again" award, both on Wednesday.


TMS Cheer Camp: Ja'Kyeria Patterson won "Bomb Base," and Blair Paul won "TOP Top Girl," both on Tuesday.


TMS Cheer Camp: Blair Paul won the Jump Off on Monday.


The Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) camp for the Thomasville Middle School Cheerleaders concluded on June 4 with a showcase in the high school gym.
All members of the TMS cheer squad were designated as All-Americans by UCA.

In exhibition play June 4 at Donnie Fendley Field, the THS Tigers varsity baseball team beat Clarke County 8-0. In addition, the TCS Jr. High baseball team beat Clarke County 9-4.

Summer play dates for THS and TMS basketball teams


The THS varsity and Jr. High teams will host Clarke County today, June 4, in a 1:30 p.m. exhibition doubleheader at Donnie Fendley Field. There will be drinks and snacks sold at the concession.

The Thomasville Middle School Cheerleaders begin their Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Home Camp this week at TMS. There will be a showcase of material on Wednesday, June 4, at 1 p.m. in the THS gym.

New starting time!


TCS Summer School for kindergarten through fifth grade students will be held June 2-25 at Thomasville Elementary School. The classes are intended only for students who were invited by the school system.
NOTE: students must wear uniforms, and parents must provide transportation to-and-from school.


Thank you to local medical personnel, who helped with providing physicals May 22 for athletes in the Thomasville City Schools District, in the Thomasville High School gym: Dr. Daveta Dozier, Dr. Frank Dozier, Dr. Huey Kidd, head school nurse Candy Thompson, Ms. Victoria Howard and Ms. De'Ja Davis.
