
Summer play dates for THS and TMS basketball teams


The THS varsity and Jr. High teams will host Clarke County today, June 4, in a 1:30 p.m. exhibition doubleheader at Donnie Fendley Field. There will be drinks and snacks sold at the concession.

The Thomasville Middle School Cheerleaders begin their Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Home Camp this week at TMS. There will be a showcase of material on Wednesday, June 4, at 1 p.m. in the THS gym.

New starting time!


TCS Summer School for kindergarten through fifth grade students will be held June 2-25 at Thomasville Elementary School. The classes are intended only for students who were invited by the school system.
NOTE: students must wear uniforms, and parents must provide transportation to-and-from school.


Thank you to local medical personnel, who helped with providing physicals May 22 for athletes in the Thomasville City Schools District, in the Thomasville High School gym: Dr. Daveta Dozier, Dr. Frank Dozier, Dr. Huey Kidd, head school nurse Candy Thompson, Ms. Victoria Howard and Ms. De'Ja Davis.
Their commitment to the health and well-being of our student athletes is truly appreciated. Their dedication to our community does not go unnoticed, and we are so thankful for their partnership. Thank you for making a difference!


There will also be a mandatory volleyball parent meeting at 6 p.m. on June 2 in the THS Library.


Volleyball Tryouts for the TMS and THS 25-26 seasons will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 22 in the THS gym.

Auditions for the community theater production of the musical, "Matilda," will be held at 3 p.m. on May 28 and 6 p.m. on May 29 in the Thomasville Civic Center.
If you are interested in a lead role, you must prepare 16 bars of a song.

Students in the Thomasville City Schools District will be released early on Wednesday, May 21 through Friday, May 23: 11:45 a.m. at TES; noon at TMS/THS. School buses will run regular routes.


The Middle school sports banquet will be held at the Thomasville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on May 15 at 6 p.m.

Tryouts for rising grades 7-12 will be held Monday, May 19 at 3:15. Have a Thomasville shirt, softball pants, cleats, and tennis shoes.
Rising grades 7-9: There is a sign up list in the front office at TMS.
Rising grades 10-12: Email Coach Carpenter your intentions to try out unless you were on the roster last year.

Crazy Corn is coming Monday, May 12 to TMS.


The Thomasville City Schools District is recognizing our school nurses, Diana Baker Steadham (TES nurse), Candy Thompson (Lead School Nurse and THS nurse) and Evelyn Jackson (TMS nurse), on May 7 as part of School Nurse Day.
This celebration recognizes the contributions school nurses make every day to improve the safety, health, and academic success of all students.
