Thomasville Middle School

The TMS Tigers football team won 30-14 Oct. 28 at Washington County in Chatom.

The TMS girls basketball team lost 27-8 to Wilson Hall Oct. 28 in the Clarke County High School gym.

The TMS library received a $500 donation from the Clarke County Education Retirees Association. Mrs. Dorothy Jackson presented the check.

TMS students - prepare for Color Wars on Thursday, Oct. 30:
Fifth Grade - Orange; Sixth Grade - Green; Seventh Grade - Purple; and Eighth Grade - Black.
Students may wear jeans and Crocs.
NOTE: No dress out on Friday.

TMS and TES students can wear a Red shirt on Wednesday, Oct. 29 in recognition of Red Ribbon Week. Students must wear school uniform pants and shoes.

ATTENTION: The TCS Jr. High Tigers football game at Washington County has been moved to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28 in Chatom. Cash will be accepted at the gate.

The TMS girls and boys basketball teams will travel Tuesday, Oct. 28 to play Wilson Hall in the Clarke County High School gym in Grove Hill. The girls game begins at 5 p.m. Cash will be accepted at the gate.

ATTENTION: there will be no middle school football practice on Monday, Oct. 20.

"Parenting Day" will be held Oct. 20 in the Thomasville City Schools District. No classes will be held Monday. Teachers are available for parenting conferences during the following times: TES: 1 to 6 p.m.; THS: 1 to 5:30 p.m.; and TMS: 1 to 6 p.m.

The community Homecoming Pep Rally and Bonfire will be held tonight, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. on the front lawn of Thomasville High School.

UPDATE: Middle school basketball game set for Tuesday, Oct. 21 against G.P. Austin at home, has been rescheduled for Monday, Nov. 17.

ATTENTION: community alumni are being asked to come sing in the choir for the Unity Night program at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15 in the THS gym. There will be a rehearsal tonight, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. in the classroom next to the band room at the high school. Contact Karen Dean at (334) 830-7305.

Students in the Thomasville City Schools District will be released early on Friday, Oct. 17 (11:45 a.m. at TES; noon at TMS/THS) to attend the school system Homecoming Parade at 1:30 p.m. in downtown Thomasville.
