
The Thomasville High School Tigers varsity football team beat Clarke County 34-0 Nov. 2 at D.F. Anderson Field.
Also, THS will host Dadeville in the first week of the state playoffs at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10 at D.F. Anderson Field.


The THS Tigers varsity football team will host the Clarke County High School Bulldogs in the annual "Backyard Brawl" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2 at D.F. Anderson Field.
There will also be a "Senior Night" ceremony before kickoff.

The THS Tigers varsity football team will travel Friday, Oct. 27 to play region opponent, the Mobile Christian School Leopards, with a 7 p.m. kickoff at Harrison Field (5900 Cottage Hill Road) in Mobile.

The influenza virus (flu) is affecting many in our community. Flu can be spread from person to person through droplets made when people with the flu cough, sneeze or talk. It can also be spread when people touch something with the flu virus on it and then touch their mouth, eyes or nose.
Flu symptoms can present quickly and can include:
• Fever/chills
• Cough
• Sore throat
• Runny or stuffy nose
• Muscle/body aches
• Headaches
• Fatigue
• Possibly vomiting/diarrhea
What can we do to prevent the spread of the flu?
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay home when you are sick.
• Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
• Wash your hands often.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces.
• Get a flu shot.
**If your student has any of the above symptoms, they need to stay home from school. Please do not give your child medication for a fever and then send them on to school. Fever should be gone for 24 hours without the help of medication before returning to school.**

The THS varsity volleyball team lost Oct. 25 to Ashford at the South Regional in Montgomery: 24-26, 12-25 and 15-25. End of the season for the Lady Tigers.

There will be early release for students Wednesday, Oct. 25 in the Thomasville City Schools District: 11:45 a.m. at TES; noon at TMS/THS.

Thomasville High School will host a Veterans Day program on Nov. 9, 2023, in the Thomasville High School Gym, starting at 9 a.m.
Veterans if you'd like an invitation to the event please come to the Thomasville High School office to receive a formal invite. For the program, we are also creating a presentation for each veteran that is invited. To have your own slide, come to the high school office to receive a form to fill out.
