The Thomasville City Schools District is recognizing our school nurses, Diana Baker Steadham (TES nurse), Candy Thompson (Lead School Nurse and THS nurse) and Evelyn Jackson (TMS nurse), on May 7 as part of School Nurse Day.
This celebration recognizes the contributions school nurses make every day to improve the safety, health, and academic success of all students.

Thomasville High School Graduation will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16 at D.F. Anderson Field.
Five students at Thomasville High School, Hailey Evans, Emily Lofton, Lakedra Hattaway, Natalie Pugh and Ju’Liyah Bridges, passed the CPCT/A test for certification of Patient Care Technician.
There are five areas where students must be prepared for the exam: Patient Care, Safety and Compliance, Infection Control, Phlebotomy and EKG. The certification is active for two years.

The THS varsity softball team lost to Excel 7-5 March 6 at the South Regionals at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex. Season ends for the Lady Tigers.
There will be a mandatory girls and boys basketball parents meeting, TMS and THS, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 in the THS gym.
The THS varsity softball team lost 15-1 to T.R. Miller May 5 at the South Regionals at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex.

The THS varsity softball team beat Providence Christian 16-1 March 5 at the state Regionals at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex.
Next game is at 3:45 p.m. at Field 5.
The Thomasville High School Lady Tigers varsity softball team will travel Monday, May 5 and Tuesday, May 6 to the state Regionals Tournament at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex, 19025 Oak Road West. THS will begin play Monday vs. Providence Christian at 10:45 a.m. on Field 6 (which is outside the main section of fields - the Gulf Shores High School home field).

THS students, who wish to travel to Gulf Shores to support the softball team, will be excused Monday and Tuesday. However, they must sign in Monday morning with Mrs. Thibodeaux. The first game Monday is 10:45 a.m.

The THS Lady Tigers varsity softball team beat Southside Selma 18-0 April 28 to win the Class 3A, Area 4 Championship at Jan Overstreet Field.
Two more public performances of "Annie" the musical, featuring students from the Thomasville City Schools District, will be presented at 2 p.m. on April 27 and 7 p.m. on April 28 in the Thomasville Civic Center. Admission is $15.
The THS Lady Tigers softball team will host the Class 3A, Area 4 tournament on Monday, April 28 at Jan Overstreet Field. Thomasville will begin play at noon against the winner of Southside Selma and Dallas County.

The THS Tigers varsity baseball team lost to Glenwood School 19-3 April 25 in game two of the second round of the Class 3A playoffs at Smiths Station. The game included a rain delay.
The season ends for the THS Tigers.
