Elizabeth Ledkins, library media specialist at THS, attended the 2026 Alabama Arts Summit this week as a grantee of the Alabama Arts Education Initiative Grant. This experience provided valuable insight into expanding arts education and connecting with educators and artists from across the state who share a passion for creativity in our schools.
Through this grant, Thomasville High School is working to launch and grow our Tiger Media Arts Program, with a focus on photography and digital media. This initiative will provide students with hands-on access to professional equipment, creative learning experiences, and opportunities to showcase their work within our school and community.

The THS Tigers Track team will travel Thursday, April 16 for a 1 p.m. meet at the Covington County Schools Track (22940 Ala. 55 in Andalusia).

The THS Tigers varsity baseball team beat Millry 2-1 in the bottom of the 10th inning April 13 at Donnie Fendley Field. Coleman Pilkington scored the winning run.

The THS JV softball team remains undefeated with 16-1 and 8-2 wins over Sweet Water in a doubleheader April 13 at Jan Overstreet Field.

The THS Tigers varsity baseball team will host the first round of the state playoffs vs. Hillcrest-Evergreen with a 5 p.m. doubleheader on Friday, April 24 at Donnie Fendley Field.
