The College Board has recognized Donald “Trey” Butler, a senior at Thomasville High School, for his GPA of 3.5 or higher and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT (pre-SAT test).
Butler is the son of Stacey McGilberry.
He plays alto saxophone with the Mighty Tiger Marching Band and serves as Section Leader and Male Lieutenant with the THS Band program.
He plans to continue his marching band career in college and also plans to study engineering.

The Thomasville High School Lady Tigers volleyball team will begin the 2023 season by hosting a tournament on Saturday, Aug. 26 in the school gym. The action begins with Washington County vs. Sweet Water at 10 a.m. Thomasville will play Leroy at 11 a.m. University Charter School of Livingston will also be featured in the tournament.

The annual "Meet the Tigers" event will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday., Aug. 18 at D.F. Anderson Field.
