The following items were approved April 25 by the Thomasville City Board of Education:
• Anjelica Gibson, Chief School Financial Officer, gave the financial report for March 2023. Payroll totaled $951,588.67, and accounts payable totaled $495,612.20.
• The board approved revisions to the Out-of-District Policy and the School Uniform Dress Policy and Bookbags. Details of those changes will be released at a later time.
• The board approved a one-year Trane service contract as part of energy savings for the school system.
• The following personnel actions were approved:

Rubye McKinley, ELA teacher at Thomasville High School, resignation, effective May 26, 2023;
Tracey Downey, teacher at Thomasville Elementary School, retirement resignation, effective June 1, 2023;
Lesley Megginson, teacher at TES, retirement resignation, effective June 1, 2023;
Denita Hankins, math coach at TES, retirement resignation, effective June 1, 2023;
Natalie Hutto, teacher at TES, retirement resignation, effective June 1, 2023;

Eddie Armstead Jr., contract principal at Thomasville Middle School, three (3) year contract, effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2026;
Chelsea Doggett, contract principal at TES, three (3) year contract, effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2026;

• The board approved the following field trips:
an overnight field trip by the THS track team May 4-6 to the state championship in Cullman, Ala.
an overnight field trip by the THS varsity softball team May 8-10 to attend the regionals in Gulf Shores, Ala.
• The next meeting of the school board will be held at 5 p.m. on May 23 in the Thomasville High School Library.
