The Thomasville City Board of Education will honor employees retiring from the school system at the May 20 meeting.
Tracy Amos, Language Arts teacher at Thomasville Middle School, and Wendy Thompson, bus driver and substitute teacher, will be recognized.
The resignations of Amos and Thompson were formally approved at the April 22 meeting of the school board.
In other actions from the brief meeting on April 22, a first reading was held for residency requirements for Pre-K admission.
• A Summer School program for June 2-25 was approved for Kindergarten through fifth grade students at Thomasville Elementary School.
• The May 20 school board meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in the Thomasville High School Library. The public is invited.
