The following items were approved Oct. 28 by the Thomasville City Board of Education:
• School board member Taylor Williams was chosen as a delegate to the Alabama Association of School Boards (AASB) Delegate Assembly, Dec. 4-6 in Montgomery. Board member Rita Nichols was chosen as the alternate.
• The financial report for August 2025, given by Anjelica Gibson, Chief School Financial Officer. Payroll totaled $960,826.49, and Accounts Payable totaled $419,826.54.
• After-school tutoring programs for the 25-26 school year.
• Fiscal Year 2026 Five-Year Capital Plan.
• The following board policies and procedures:
Human Resources – Paid Parental Leave;
Thomasville City Schools Confidentiality Statement;
Thomasville City Schools Employee Handbook;
Thomasville City Schools District Policy Manual.
• Personnel actions:
