Superintendent Celebrates Achievement and Community Effort
Thomasville, AL — Friday, Nov. 14, 2025 — Thomasville City Schools is proud to announce that the district has achieved an overall grade of “A” on the Alabama State Department of Education’s 2024–2025 State Report Card. Superintendent Vickie Morris praised students, teachers, staff, families, and the Thomasville community for contributing to this significant achievement.
“This accomplishment reflects the hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment of our entire school community,” said Superintendent Morris. “Earning an ‘A’ is more than a score—it is a testament to the daily efforts of our students, the instructional excellence of our teachers, and the strong support we receive from parents and community partners.”
The Alabama State Report Card evaluates schools and districts on multiple indicators, including academic achievement, academic growth, graduation rate, college and career readiness, and chronic absenteeism. Thomasville City Schools demonstrated strong performance across all measured areas, showing consistent improvement and growth.
Superintendent Morris highlighted that the district’s success is not the result of a single initiative but rather a reflection of strategic planning, high expectations, and teamwork.
“Our faculty and staff work tirelessly to ensure that every child in Thomasville receives a high-quality education,” Morris added. “We are proud of this recognition, but we remain committed to continuous improvement. Our students deserve the very best, and we will keep pushing forward.”
Thomasville City Schools will continue focusing on student learning, instructional excellence, and positive school culture as it builds on this success.
