Rural Dental Scholar

Jack Stoudemire spoke Nov. 2 to students in the Thomasville High School Library. An Auburn University graduate, Stoudemire is currently a Rural Dental Scholar at the University of Alabama, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in Rural Community Health. Upon completing the program, Stoudemire will continue his education at the UAB School of Dentistry. His long-term goal is to return to a rural community and practice general dentistry.

He spoke to students from grades ninth through 12th, who are interested in the medical or dental field. His visit to THS was sponsored by Chelsea Doggett, Career Coach.

In addition to completing his graduate coursework, Stoudemire is actively connecting with young adults, who are interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. Through these conversations, he shares information about the opportunities and programs available through his school and encourages future healthcare professionals to return to and serve rural communities.
