The following personnel actions were approved May 25 by the Thomasville City Board of Education:

(Resignations)

Demetria Sellers, Custodian at Thomasville Elementary School, resignation, effective June 6, 2022;
Ashley Meadows, Teacher at Thomasville High School, resignation, effective May 27, 2022;
Terry Norton, Assistant Principal, TES, retirement resignation, effective July 1, 2022;
William McRae, THS Physical Education Teacher and Girls’ Basketball Coach, resignation, effective May 27, 2022;

(Non-Renewal of Contracts and Non-Renewal of Certified Employees)
All non-tenured employees were non-renewed at the end of the current (2021-2022) school year. Their jobs will be posted, and they will have the opportunity to reapply.

(Non-Renewal of Supplements):
Superintendent hereby recommends that the supplemental employment of the following employees and volunteers at Thomasville City Schools, be terminated effective at the end of the current (2021-2022) school year.

Approximately 45 supplemental positions were terminated, however, a majority of the positions will likely be reinstated for the 2022-2023 school year.
