Members of the THS Varsity volleyball team are the champions of the THS Tournament! They beat Washington County Aug. 21 in the championship game: 22-25, 25-17 and 15-5.
The THS varsity volleyball team beat Excel Aug. 21 in the THS Tournament in the school gym: 25-17 and 25-10.
The THS Lady Tigers varsity volleyball team beat Sweet Water Aug. 21 in the first match of the THS Tournament in the school gym: 25-22 and 25-20.

Important message from the superintendent of the Thomasville City Schools District:
Good afternoon Tiger family. I wanted to alert everyone that we are going to shut down Thomasville Elementary School at the end of business today. The shutdown will be for two weeks, and the plan is to reopen Thomasville Elementary School on Sept. 7.
We have had an uptick in positive Covid cases at TES, and out of an abundance of caution and safety for our students and employees, we feel that this is the best course of action to take at this time.
We will continue to monitor Thomasville High and Thomasville Middle Schools over the coming days. Our desire is to keep our students safe and in school. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

The THS varsity volleyball team beat American Christian Academy Aug. 19 at ACA in Tuscaloosa: 21-25, 25-22 and 15-11.
The THS junior varsity volleyball team beat Hillcrest Aug. 19 at Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa: 15-25, 25-15 and 15-11.
THS students: if you need to check in at the Main Office, come through the front doors - even if you drive and park in the student parking lot.
A THS/TMS Quarterback Club meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19 at the football fieldhouse.
Meetings of the THS chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will begin Friday, Aug. 20, from 7:45 to 8 a.m. in the THS cafeteria. All students are invited. FCA meetings will continue each Friday. Meetings may be moved to the gym as attendance numbers dictate.
NOTE: please finish your breakfast before returning to class at 8:05 a.m. on Friday.
The annual Title 1 Meeting will be virtual only at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26. It will be streamed on the Thomasville Tiger Nation Facebook page.
