
Students from Thomasville Elementary School and Thomasville Middle School attended the 4H camp June 30-July 2 in Columbiana. The students included Abigail Collinsworth, Hailey Norwood, Reign Bennett, Avery Collinsworth, Tensely Stauffacher, Jordyn Holden, Sebastian Covel, Abel Horton, Gauge Patrick, Lanie Smith, and Tripp Smith.


The next meeting of the Thomasville City Board of Education will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8 in the Thomasville High School Library. The public is invited.

McKinley Sims, a rising sixth grade student at Thomasville Middle School, performed June 28 at the Flying Bricks Community Band Independence Day concert in the Thomasville Civic Center. She performed two songs from "Matilda, The Musical," which will be presented July 25-28, also in the Civic Center. Tickets for "Matilda" are now on sale.


The Thomasville Sports Hall of Fame will hold its sixth induction ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on July 26 in the Thomasville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Tickets cost $25 and go on sale July 1.
Inductees include Curtis Crenshaw, Jimmy Duncan, Bernard Jackson, Larry Stephens, Evans "Red" Wilson, and the 1972 Thomasville High School Tigers baseball State Championship team.
