The THS Tigers varsity football team defeated Clarke County 34-28 Oct. 30 at D.F. Anderson Field.
The Tigers travel next Friday, Nov. 7 to Smiths Station to play Glenwood School in the first round of the state playoffs. Kick off is 7 p.m. central.
More students at Thomasville Elementary School have received "Positive Office Referrals" from teachers for displaying leadership, kindness and responsibility. Fifth and sixth grade students at Thomasville Middle School were given the opportunity to participate in the Red Ribbon Week coloring contest. Winners are Callie Phillips, Kyleigh Motes, Gabrielle Mosely, Lily Parnell, Henleigh Rush, and Kaylani Campbell. The TMS Tigers boys basketball team lost 36-26 to Wilson Hall Oct. 28 in the Clarke County High School gym.
The TMS Tigers football team won 30-14 Oct. 28 at Washington County in Chatom.

Three dual enrollment students from Thomasville High School received certifications in Skid Steer operations through the Skills For Success Program at Coastal Alabama Community College. The students completed an online course in Skid Steer safety and operations. After that, they completed a two-day lab where they worked on a skid steer to show their skills.

The TMS library received a $500 donation from the Clarke County Education Retirees Association. Mrs. Dorothy Jackson presented the check.
