Alumni of the THS Mighty Tiger Marching Band are welcome to come and play with the band at the Homecoming game on Friday, Oct. 9.
With financial support from the Alabama Legislature, in partnership with the Family Practice Rural Health Board and the Alabama Board of Dentistry, the University of Alabama will offer the Rural Health and Dental Health Scholars Program (RHDSP) and the Medical Opportunity and Outreach in Rural Education Program (MOORE) for current high school juniors and seniors from rural Alabama communities.
The Rural Health and Dental Health Scholars Program and the MOORE Program provide students with an early introduction to college life and health professions.
Participants have opportunities to explore careers in medicine, dentistry, and other health-related fields while gaining valuable experiences that will help prepare them for college.
These programs are designed to encourage students from rural backgrounds who have an interest in becoming health professionals to maintain that interest throughout their undergraduate education and develop the academic and personal skills needed to become competitive applicants to medical, dental, and other health professional schools.

The THS varsity volleyball team lost Sept. 29 at J.U. Blacksher in Uriah: 22-25, 16-25 and 21-25.
