THS BASEBALL TIME UPDATE: the THS Tigers varsity baseball team will travel Saturday, March 16 to Demopolis High School to play Theodore and Demopolis. The game times are 1:30 and 4 p.m. Tickets are available at gofan.co or cash will be accepted at the gate.

The Thomasville High School Lady Tigers varsity softball team will participate March 15 and 16 in the annual Tombigbee Tournament at Leroy High School. In pool play, the Lady Tigers will play St. Paul’s at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Satsuma at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Cash will be accepted at the gate for admission.

A ceremony was held March 14 for the dedication of the Thomasville High School baseball field as Donnie Fendley Field. Fendley was a former THS head baseball coach. His Tiger teams twice claimed state championships (1988 and 1989), were runner-up once and won 15 area titles. He is a member of the Thomasville Sports Hall of Fame.

The THS Tigers soccer team lost 10-0 to St. Luke’s March 14 at D.F. Anderson Field.
