There will be no classes in the Thomasville City Schools District on Monday, Sept. 1 in recognition of Labor Day.

Kansas Richardson, a third grade student at Thomasville Elementary School, has received a Positive Office Referral because she "displayed responsibility, respect, kindness and cooperation" in being a leader in teacher Ginger Shehan's classroom.

There will be early release of students in the Thomasville City Schools District on Friday, Aug. 29: 11:45 a.m. at TES; and noon at TMS and THS.

The THS varsity volleyball team will participate Saturday, Aug. 30 in the Bobby Davis Invitational at Demopolis High School.

The THS varsity volleyball game Thursday, Aug. 28 at Wilcox Central has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

The next meeting of the Thomasville City Board of Education will be held today, Aug. 26, at 5 p.m. in the Thomasville High School Library. The meeting will feature the first of two hearings for the Fiscal 2026 budget.
NOTE: There will also be a work session at 4 p.m.
