Thomasville City Schools

Pre-K students will be dismissed early at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 15 at Thomasville Elementary School. This is to allow them to attend Kindergarten registration. Also on this date, Pre-K are wearing green for St. Patrick's Day.

ATTENTION: Parents will have one more opportunity to come and register their child for the Pre-K program, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5 at Thomasville Elementary School. Parents will need to bring a social security card, birth certificate, and two proofs of residency.

Remaining dates for 2024 THS Tigers Golf team: March 4 - at Monroe County in Monroeville March 18 - Washington County March 25 - Washington County and Demopolis March 27 - at Washington County in Chatom April 8 - Monroe County April 10 - at Washington County April 11 - at Demopolis Home dates are played at the Thomasville Golf and Recreation Club. Austin Mason is the head coach. Tim Robinson and Rhett Pilkington are the assistant coaches. The team includes Gavin Bender, Carson Hines, Wyman Lawson, Joey Spiers, James Stauffacher and David Watts.

The THS Tigers varsity baseball team will travel Thursday, Feb. 29 to Andalusia to play Andalusia and Paxton of Fla. First game is at 3 p.m. Cash is accepted for admission at the gate.

The 12th annual "James G. Gunn Honor Band" concert will be held at the Thomasville Civic Center on Saturday, March 9 at 6 p.m. Over 100 junior and senior high musicians from Choctaw, Clarke and Washington counties are expected to participate in addition to the Flying Bricks Community Band. The guest clinicians are Tyler Hardison of Jacksonville, Fla. and Dakota Baker of Millry High School. Admission is only $5 with those under 12 admitted free.

The THS JV baseball team won 18-0 Feb. 28 at Leroy.

There will be a special THS Band concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 in the Thomasville Civic Center. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.

JV BASEBALL UPDATE: the THS JV baseball date Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Leroy High School will be a single 3 p.m. game. Cash will be accepted for admission at the gate.

The Thomasville City Board of Education approved Feb. 27 the school system calendar for the 2024-2025 school year.
