The HOSA and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) chapters at Thomasville High School collected and donated a few toys for children with the Department of Health and Human Services. HOSA (Future Health Professionals) has been participating with this effort for the last couple of years. This is one of the special community service projects by HOSA. The chapter's goal, especially this month, is to make some child/children have a Merry Christmas. Elizabeth McGilberry (left) is a member of HOSA, and Mrs. Vickie Charleston is the advisor.

The "Tiger Eye Positive Referral" program at Thomasville High School allows teachers to observe and reward students who are "caught" participating in acts of kindness, community service, and/or positively affecting the school. All students who received a Tiger Eye were given a free snack at break. There were over 40 students who received Tiger Eyes during the first semester. From those students, one student from each grade was randomly drawn. The students pictured received a Walmart gift card. The teacher referring the student(s) also received a matching Walmart gift card. Pictured are Javon Tate, Vickie Charleston, Stepheni Wright, Na'Keisha Smith, Ashira Timmons, Cindy Hare, and Sam Mankin.
