FREE Vaccination Clinic planned May 2 for TMS/THS
All students entering sixth grade will require a dose of Tdap (tetanus-diphtheria toxoid & acellular pertussis) vaccine.
HNH Immunizations Inc. is offering a FREE vaccination clinic at Thomasville Middle School on Monday, May 2, 2022. Consent forms are being sent home with all fifth grade students as well as those in upper grades who have not had the Tdap vaccine. They are also offering the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) and Meningococcal vaccines for anyone grades 5-12. You can request a consent form by contacting the school nurse.
Please complete the consent form and return to the school by Wednesday, April 27, 2022, if you would like for your child to participate. Contact Nurse Thompson if you have any questions.
The THS varsity softball team travels April 14 to play at area opponent Excel High School. The game begins at 5 p.m.
Tickets will be available at the gate.
ATTENTION SENIORS: The Biology Opportunity and Scholarship for Success II (BOSS II) program has TEN (10) $8,500 annual scholarships for first-year students studying biology at the University of West Alabama.

The THS varsity soccer team beat Autaugaville 4-0 April 12 at D.F. Anderson Field (second game). The team has qualified for the state playoffs.
The THS junior varsity softball team beat T.R. Miller 4-3 April 12 at Jan Overstreet Field.
The THS varsity soccer team beat Autaugaville 8-0 April 12 at D.F. Anderson Field (first game).
The THS junior varsity baseball team won 8-0 April 12 at Clarke County.
There will be a combined TMS/THS PTO meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 18 in the THS library.
The THS Basketball Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 18 in the Thomasville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

UPDATE - 9:38 a.m. on 4-11: The following five candidates for Thomasville City School Superintendent were announced April 8 at a special meeting of the Thomasville City Board of Education in the Thomasville High School library.
The candidates are Anthony J. Buckner of Scottsboro, Tony L. Clower of Kingston, Tenn., Christopher Cook of Winfield, Dr. Kalvin Eaton of Northport and Vickie Morris of Thomasville.
The public interview schedule at the Thomasville Civic Center includes:
• Mrs. Vickie Morris on Tuesday, April 12;
• Dr. Kalvin Eaton on Wednesday, April 13;
• Mr. Tony Clower on Thursday, April 14;

ATTENTION - TIME CHANGE: there will be one home THS varsity baseball game with Sweet Water at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 at the THS ball field. The "Senior Night" ceremony will be held shortly before the game starts.
