The Thomasville City Schools District has received an $8,000 check in state funding from Thomas Jackson, state representative from Thomasville. Approximately $3,000 of the money will go for the Child Nutrition Program; $2,000 for Career Tech; and $3,000 for other educational needs. The school district would also like to acknowledge a $10,000 check that the representative gave to Thomasville schools in December 2023. Jackson is a long time supporter of public education.

The Thomasville City Schools Jr. High football team won 20-0 Aug. 26 at Clarke County in Grove Hill.
ATTENTION: The Basketball Tip-off Club meeting has been rescheduled for Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. in the THS library. The meeting is open to any parent who has a child playing on the middle, JV, Varsity boys and girls teams.

The next meeting of the Thomasville City Board of Education will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27 in the Thomasville High School Library. The meeting will include the first hearing on the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget.
There will also be a 4 p.m. school board work session.
The public is invited.
Football players from Thomasville Middle School and Thomasville High School will participate in a grade 7 to 9 Junior High game with Clarke County at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26 in Grove Hill's H.G. Prim Stadium.

The date for Class of 2025 Senior Drape Photos will be today, Aug. 24 in the Thomasville High School cafeteria. Photos will be taken starting at 8:30 a.m. The session fee is $30. This is a great offer for parents and students.

TMS football players need to meet at the field house immediately after school Friday, Aug. 23 to get game jerseys and pants.
The Thomasville High School Tigers varsity football team will begin the regular season at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23 playing the Leroy High Bears at Bobby Farish Field at Palmer Stadium in Leroy.
