The THS Tigers varsity baseball team beat Providence Christian 5-2 in the second game of the second round of the state playoffs at Donnie Fendley Field. NOTE: There will be a third game at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 1.

The THS Tigers varsity baseball team lost 2-0 to Providence Christian in the first game April 30 at Donnie Fendley Field.

The THS varsity softball team beat Washington County 6-4 April 30 at Jan Overstreet Field.

The THS Lady Tigers varsity softball team will host Washington County on Thursday, April 30 at Jan Overstreet Field. There will be a "Senior Night" ceremony before the 4 p.m. first pitch.

The THS varsity softball team won 10-1 April 28 at Leroy.

The Sugar Jar is coming May 5 to TES. All money and order forms will are due Monday. Forms will be sent home on Wednesday, April 29.

National School Lunch Hero Day 2026 is Friday, May 1, 2026. Celebrated annually on the first Friday in May, this day honors school nutrition professionals for their dedication to nourishing students, supporting learning, and ensuring healthy meals, often celebrated with special, personalized school-wide recognition.

Teacher Appreciation Week at TES May 4-8

Eighth Grade Parents Meeting, 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29 in the THS Library.

Students will be released early on Thursday, April 30 in the Thomasville City Schools District: 11:45 a.m. at TES; noon at TMS and THS. Buses will run regular routes.
NOTE: there is no E-Learning Day on Friday, May 1.

The next meeting of the Thomasville City Board of Education will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28 in the Thomasville High School Library. The public is invited.

Members of the THS Golf team will begin the postseason with sectionals Monday, April 27 at Arrowhead Country Club in Montgomery. The first player tees off at 9:30 a.m.
Six Thomasville players qualified for postseason competition:
David Watts, Cooper Elam, Taylor Andrews, Connor Dunham, Wyman Lawson and Clayton Webb.

Two more public performances of “Grease:” 2 p.m. matinee show on April 26 and 7 p.m. on April 27 in the Thomasville Civic Center. Admission is $15. Call 334-637-3384 for reserve tickets.

Any sixth or seventh grade boy interested in trying out for TMS basketball should attend tryouts from 3:15 to 5 p.m. on April 28 in the middle school gym. Students must have an updated physical form.

The 25-26 TMS Sports Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. on May 5 in the Thomasville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Admission for parents is $15.
